A SILVER MOUNTED RUSKIN POTTERY BOWL
maker's mark of A.E. Jones, Birmingham, 1933
After an early Sixteenth Century mazer bowl in New College, Oxford, the Ruskin high fired stoneware bowl of speckled robin's egg blue, mounted on spreading circular foot with beaded, corded and escalloped borders, with three upright pierced strapwork foliage bands, and everted rim with chased chevron border.
