The rectangular vessel raised on four stout legs with scrolling feet issuing from taotie masks, each side carved in shallow relief with taotie motifs, the short sides of the rim with openwork handles enclosing ruyi motifs, the cover with shallow-relief taotie masks and surmounted by an openwork Buddhistic lion and cub finial, the translucent stone of icy sea green tone suffused with numerous bright green veins
