The Honorable Emma Crewe, was the daughter of John, 1st Lord Crewe and Frances Anne, only daughter of Fulke Greville. Her mother, the great Whig hostess renowned for her beauty, was painted several times by Reynolds, and her son John, 2nd Lord Crewe is the subject of Reynolds' famous portrait Master Crewe as Henry VIII (private collection, England). Emma married Foster Cunliffe Offley, eldest son of Sir Foster Cunliffe, Bt., on April 19, 1809. She died on February 15, 1850.
