"She Walks in Beauty..." Those words could have been spoken of my friend, Joanne Cummings, who studied, learned and surrounded herself with beauty. What she bought to wear, what she bought to admire -- none of it was acquired without knowledge, thought, taste and then when needed, expert advice. A definition of taste is "the faculty of discerning and enjoying beauty or other excellence, especially in art..." The issue here isn't whether she was born with good taste or whether she acquired it; it is what she did to support and enforce a selective eye. Her selective eye was learned and is visible in all she possessed. Grace Mirabella Cahan Property from the Collection of the late JOANNE TOOR CUMMINGS
