The ewer vase form, on domed circular base with Greek-key band and chased with fruit on matted ground, the sides repousse and chased with elaborate scene of a farmer and maiden splitting logs and gathering wood before a thatched cabin, centering a reserve with presentation inscription, the shoulder with matted Greek-key band, the foliate scroll handle surmounted by a figure of an eagle and shield above a draped American flag, the neck chased with foliage, the rim applied with foliage and rocaille; the tray oval with gadrooned rim, the field engraved with scrolling foliage and with Hon. N. B. Browne; marked under base and rim
