Each with scrolled channelled styles terminating in rosettes, the scrolled padded back, arms and seat covered in burgundy silk with foliate gilt-metal thread borders, the arms with stiff-leaf capitals and lion-mask-centred panelled roundels supported by an Ionic capital and palmette-centred panelled baluster, the panelled bow-fronted seat-rail with domed paterae, on tapering baluster legs with a further palmette and stepped block feet, three lion-masks lacking, the gilt-metal thread border contemporary and re-used, inscribed in pencil 'Charles Ballin', with handwritten label 'Salon du Cont Queleu', the other stamped 'Jacob D. R. Meslée', refreshments to gildings (2)
