Each with arched padded back and bowed seat covered in later close-nailed gros and petit point needlework, each back with a cartouche of a couple one with courtier holding a basket of flowers and the other with a maiden pouring water into a glass, the seats with a cartouche of a wolf and a lamb, the other with a leopard and a fish, all within foliate borders, the arms with strapwork carving, above a shaped seat-rail centred by a scallop-shell on a trellis ground, on acanthus-carved cabriole legs headed by a scallop-shell and terminating in raised acanthus scrolls, restorations and replacements, variations in carving (2)
