The tea service shaped-oval and with gadrooned borders, comprising a teapot with fluted spout, a two-handled sugar bowl and a milk jug, the teapot engraved with presentation inscription, the sauceboats each on three hoof feet and with leaf-capped flying scroll handles and gadrooned border, each fully marked
the teapot 4½in. (11.5cm.) high
the sauceboats 4¼in. (10.7cm.) high
gross 31ozs. (980grs.)
The inscription reads 'Presented by the Employees of the Hall Barn Estate, Jan 10th 1907.' Dorothy Olive (1885-1937), daughter and only child of Harry Lawson Webster, 1st Viscount and 2nd Baron Burnham (1862-1933) married Major The Hon. John Spencer Coke (K.C.V.O., 1953), son of the 2nd Earl of Leicester, in January 1907. (5)
