A sofa table with a top that appears to be by the same japanner was sold anonymously, Sotheby's New York, 26 January 1985, lot 155. It features the same boat and has a gilt-bronze rim. The pillar and claw frame was popular in the 1820s, and various related patterns feature in Thomas King's Modern Style of Cabinet Work Exemplified of 1829.
