a very fine, luminous impression of the first state (of two)
printing silvery and sharply, with great clarity and contrasts
with wide margins
a repaired tear in the lower margin at left, other smaller defects
generally in good condition

A related drawing in pen and brown ink, Canale delle Barche at Mestre (circa 1740-42) possibly served as a preparatory drawing for the print. It is now in the Royal Collection at Windsor (inv. no. RL 7490).
