Descriptif du lot

The present portrait was painted in 1759. Mrs. Bradshaw sat for Reynolds on at least six occasions in November and December of that year (D. Mannings, loc. cit.). A portrait of her husband, Thomas Bradshaw (1733-74), was also painted in the same year (ibid., no. 240).
