Descriptif du lot

Drenched in bright sunlight, El Vaquero depicts a Mexican cattle driver, whom Remington would have observed during his six-week sojourn to Mexico in 1889. The artist took this trip to prepare illustrations for an 1890 article in Harper's Weekly.
