Descriptif du lot

Summer in the Garden shows Vanessa Bell at Fry’s house Durbins, Guildford. Bell rented a cottage close to Durbins and was painted and drawn several times by Fry in late summer 1911, when their love affair began.

We are very grateful to Richard Shone for his assistance in cataloguing this lot.
