"This is a piece of plastic I threw over a knotted rope. 'Polystyrene' is the name of the kind of plastic. We all sort of know that name from familiar high art sources, it stirs something in the back reaches. I printed on the polystyrene first, a flatbed inkjet print. With UV-cured inks, commercial signage inks, hard to remove. Someone else knotted the rope before it went on the machine. Later the rope partially fell out the back. And that's all there is."
