etching with drypoint, 1879-80, on late 17th century laid paper, watermark Initials WW, signed with the butterfly and inscribed imp in pencil on the tab, a fine and atmospheric impression of the first state (of two), printed with plate tone in the foreground to balance the open space of the composition, trimmed to the platemark (as issued), in very good condition
