Diego Angulo ÍIñiguez noted, on the basis of a photograph, that this picture was possibly by Murillo, or even a good student of his, and that it was likely to be by the same artist as the Apostles
Series in the Apostolado de Museo, Parma.

We are grateful to Professor Enrique Valdivieso for confirming the attribution to the Studio of Murillo on inspection of the original.
