Details
VEUVE CLICQUOT

The eponymous house of the widowed Madame Clicquot and her Grande Dame Cuvée. Of note in this collection are the great range of Rosées. It is known that Veuve Clicquot was the first house to produce and ship a rosé champagne in 1775; the best of the more recent vintages are here, both in Comtes de Champagne and Rosé Réserve.

ROSE RESERVE 1985

This cuvée consists of 17 Crus, all Grands or Premiers Crus. It is dominated by the force and fullness of black grapes (49 Pinot Noir, 14.5 of Pinot Meunier) and tempered by the elegance and finesse of 36.5 Chardonnay.
This cuvée is characterised by the addition of 14 Pinot Noir from Bouzy vinified as red wine, harvested from a vineyard belonging to the house.
