Maker's mark of R. & W. Wilson, Philadelphia, circa 1850
Pear shaped, on spreading circular base, the base and body chased with blossoms on entwining matted foliage, two sides enclosing shaped oval cartouche, one engraved with monogram, with scale-work rims, with highly raised scroll foliate wrapped spout, the angular handle applied with ram's mask, the hinged, partly low domed decorated cover topped by Asian figure finial--12in. (30.4cm.) high, gross weight 47oz.
