Originally introduced within the Gouverneur line, reference 15958 debuted alongside some of Piaget’s more technically ambitious creations, including chronographs, petite sonnerie, and even grande sonnerie wristwatches. The reference 15958, which featured a sophisticated triple calendar with moon phase complication, showed that Piaget could combine aesthetic elegance with true horological substance at a time when the Maison was widely praised for its glamorous and design-driven creations.
The dial, crafted in white enamel and finished with a delicate lacquer sheen, forms a particularly elegant canvas for the calendar indications. The day, date, and month are shown on three subdials that are charmingly written in Italian and give the composition a unique flair.
