Rectangular in carnelian, the cover mounted with a band of scrolling foliage in diamonds with sapphire-set jade leaves, with borders of diamonds and lapis lazuli corners, the ends in onyx with blue enamel bosses, diamond-set thumbpiece, the interior with a mirror, pop-up lipstick holder, and powder compartment in gold, marked on interior, further signed above the mirror VAN CLEEF ARPELS PARIS and numbered 27080
