PROBABLY DESIGNED BY HENRY FLITCROFT AND ATTRIBUTED TO MATTHIAS LOCK, CIRCA 1740
The rectangular portor marble top above a paneled frieze with Vitruvian scrolls on a punched ground, centered by a pendant elephant's mask flanked by swags of drapery filled with fruit and foliage, on S-scrolled paneled supports carved with acanthus leaves and pendant bellflowers, on a later custom made plinth, with printed and inscribed Ann and Gordon Getty Collection inventory label
