the telescope engraved with the mark of the United East India Company, with bubble level underneath, rack and pinion focusing, supported with fine adjustment mechanism and silver graduated arc 90-0-90° with vernier, signed on 8-point compass rose W.&T. Gilbert, London with degree scale 0-360°, over central column revolving around silver degree scale with twin verniers and magnifying lenses, with bubble level, underneath a secondary telescope; with a wooden tripod with stamped markings to brass fittings FLAVELLE BRISBANE.
