A 19th century French bronze equestrian group entitled CHEF GAULOIS, cast from a model by Emmanuel Frémiet, depicting a helmeted, moustachioed warrior, wearing breastplate, shield and sword, astride a caparisoned horse, the rectangular naturalistic base inscribed FREMIET CHEF GAULOIS -- 14½in. (37cm.) high.
