A FEDERAL PILLAR AND SCROLL MAHOGANY SHELF CLOCK, by Jeromes & Darrow, Bristol, Connecticut, first quarter 19th century, the swan's-neck crest mounted with three brass ball and spire finials above a rectangular door, the upper section with glazed panel opening to a white-painted dial with Arabic chapter ring and polychrome floral and gilt spandrels, the lower section with eglomise panel depicting a house in a landscape, flanked by spiral turned pillasters, on turned tapering feet, bears label of the maker inside--29½in. high, 16½in. wide, 4¾in. deep
