Old Master Week

  • Event date 20 - 21 May
  • Event location New York
This May, Old Master Week returns to New York with two curated auctions spanning six centuries of European art history, from the early Renaissance to the 19th century. Amidst a growing market for Old Masters, this sale series offers fantastic value and variety for collectors new and old, with exceptional examples of portraiture, still life, landscape and gold grounds pictures.

Several works are making their first appearance on the market in decades, including an altarpiece fragment by Lorenzo Veneziano, and a still life by Willem Kalf. A snowy landscape by Courbet is among the most anticipated 19th century lots, alongside an early Corot and a painting by von Blaas which has not been on the market since it was painted in 1910.
